DESIGN SWAP

Back in late 2007 - early 2008 Banyan Productions, producers of Trading Spaces, were casting DESIGN SWAP. According to the original casting notice, the series “takes your neighbors’ unwanted dingy, broken and unfashionable items and reconstructs them…into your very own masterpieces. With the help of a designer and carpenter you will transform your neighbors’ trash into beautiful pieces that will help to redecorate a newly designed room in your home while your neighbors do the same. The rooms you design will be eco-friendly in every way but the results will be eye-catching, unique, and surprising.”

The deadline for applications to be on season 1 of DESIGN SWAP was Feb. 29/08. We have heard nothing since and there is no mention of the program on the producer's web site. We can only assume the show didn't make it past the "in development" stage.
